Purpose
Monitor the health of the backup activities of individual client machines.
Description
Click View Logs at the top-right corner of the Cloud Replication page to view the logs of recent cloud replication activities. The comprehensive log includes information such as the status of cloud replication, the name of the client machine, the recovery point, etc. Also, you can see the status of your backups that are replicated in the cloud server.
Alternatively, go to Logs > Physical Machines / VMware > IDrive Cloud Logs to view logs for the cloud replication activities.
IDrive Cloud logs
The following information is displayed in the logs:
Date - The date and time of the last cloud replication.
Hostname / VM name - Displays the default or assigned name of the client machine.
Server - Specifies the server location of the virtual machine. (Applicable only for VMware cloud logs).
Volume - Displays the volume of data that was transferred to the cloud. (Applicable only for physical machine cloud logs)
Recovery Point - Specifies the recovery point that is created for the client during the last backup.
Type - Specifies the type of backup performed, whether incremental or full image.
Status - Displays the backup status.
Info - Provides a brief message on the status of the backup operation. This is useful for analyzing cloud replication failures.
Email notifications for cloud replication
To receive email notifications on backups and cloud replication,
- Go to the Settings page.
- Go to Mail > Email Notification and scroll down to the Backup Report Notification section.
- Enter the required email address(es) in the Send backup report(s) to field, click , and click Save.
