Receive email notifications regarding the IDrive BMR device, status of local backups, and cloud replication.
Description
Stay up-to-date with timely email notifications regarding the device health and backup status of physical and virtual machines. Get summarized reports on the status and integrity of local backups to the IDrive BMR device and cloud replication.
Server alert notification
Update the primary email address or include additional email addresses to receive alerts on IDrive BMR device health such as RAID and hard device health status. The periodic emails will notify you in case there is a problem with the RAID device or the hard drive. It is advisable to contact IDrive support immediately and report the problem.
To update the primary email address for your account,
- Sign in to the IDrive BMR device web interface.
- Click Settings on the menu bar.
- Go to Mail > Email Notification > Server Alert Notification tab.
- Click , enter the new email address, and click Save.
To include additional email addresses,
- Log in to the IDrive BMR device web interface.
- Click Settings on the menu bar.
- Go to Mail > Email Notification > Server Alert Notification tab.
- Click and enter email addresses separated by a comma in the Additional Email field.
- Click Save to update the changes.
You can also access the Email Notification tab by clicking Admin on the top-right corner and clicking Email Settings.
In case the IDrive BMR device is offline for more than 48 hours, you will be notified on your primary email and any other subscribed email addresses.
Backup report notification
Add email addresses to receive notifications on backup status for physical machines, virtual machines, network shares, and cloud transfers. The email notifications contain a detailed summary for every backup activity, including information on the type of backup – full or incremental – backup status, and integrity.
To add email addresses for receiving backup notifications,
- Sign in to the IDrive BMR device web interface.
- Click Settings on the menu bar.
- Go to Mail> Email Notification > Backup Report Notifications tab.
- Enter email addresses separated by a comma in Send backup report(s) to field and click to add.
- Click Save to save the changes.
