Purpose

Monitor the health of the backup activities of VMware machines.

Description

Navigate to Logs > VMware > Backup Logs to view the activity logs of the backed-up VMware machines on the IDrive BMR device. You can use the search bar to look up the logs of a specific virtual machine, ESXi host, or vCenter server.

Backup activity logs

The backup log displays the following parameters for every backed-up virtual machine:
Time - The date and time of the recent backup of the virtual machine.

VM Name - The default or assigned name of the virtual machine.

ESXi / vCenter - The ESXi host or the vCenter server that contains the virtual machine.

Status - The status of the recent backup of the virtual machine.

Type - The type of recent backup, whether incremental or full image.

Info - Brief information regarding the recent backup of the machine. This is useful for analyzing backup failures.

Save backup logs

Click Export and select CSV, Excel, or PDF to save backup logs in the required format. You can also Copy the logs to the clipboard or Print the logs straight from the device interface.
